COVID 19 Procedures

Before all classes begin

Teachers will be responsible for cleaning the facilities including door handles, tables, chairs, tap handles and toilets etc using an anti-bacterial cleaning product to ensure that the facilities are kept as clean as possible.

This cleaning will then be carried out every hour (10 minutes before each new class arrives and current students are cooling down).

All cleaning tissues used will be put into a separate bin and removed at the end of the evening to ensure that these are not left on site.

The layout of the hall will be constructed so that there is a distinct way in and way out for all students.  Student numbers will be limited; Direct Debit customers will select which day they prefer to attend; all pay as you go customers will be able to book the remaining places online at

The school will operate a cashless system; no payments can be made in class to avoid contamination.  All payments will be made online; anyone who does arrive to pay on the day will be turned away.  Numbers will be kept to a strict rule.

Students Attending Class

Parents are not allowed in the hall and will drop students at the main door to a teacher.

All students must walk in the normal route and all must wash their hands before entering the main hall.

Students are required to arrive on time and not congregate outside too early please.

Students may bring a drink with them; no food is allowed and no bags.

Students are not allowed to wait in the foyer area and sit and talk; this will break any social distancing rules.

Students will be reminded to adhere to the social distancing rules; keeping 2 metres apart.  Teachers are responsible for ensuring that this remains in place.

Masks will be provided if you require one.

At the end of the classes; students will be asked to leave through the fire exit door and anti-bacterial hand sanitiser will be provided for their departure.  This will ensure that the students finishing their lesson do not walk into the next set of students beginning their lesson.

If feeling unwell

As per the Welsh Guidance “Under no circumstances should learners or staff attend……if they:

  • Feel unwell, have any of the three identified COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, a high temperature or loss of taste or smell) or they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days;

  • Live in a household with someone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive to COVID-19 in the past 14 days”

Any student currently shielding or clinical vulnerable (or someone in their household is) should not attend the class and use the live streaming provided.

Any Other Information

The teachers will inform parents if any students have broken the social distancing rules and they will have a warning (to ensure the safety of all students)
